Pastel Polish on Parade

Hello there my lovely friends!

Do y’all remember a few weeks ago when I raved and raved about a certain pale pink polish? Bad news, friends. I’ve encountered a game changer. Meet Sally Hansen’s Petal Pusher.Sally Hansen Petal Pusher

My grandpa always taught me to deliver bad news first, so here we go. With all of the good things that there are to say about this, there does come a bad side to this, and that’s this brush. Sally Hansen Petal Pusher

HATE this brush. I think the Sally Hansen designers were trying to create a large brush that fully covers the nail with one swipe. Unfortunately, I found it way too large for my nails, and to add insult to injury- it dispersed wayyyy too much product and things got messy.

All of that being said, I will overlook those poor mechanics for this polish. If you’re patient enough, you can wipe off enough polish on the edges to make application easier, and overall, I foresee this being the polish this summer. You know, the polish. The one that I reapply time and time again, all summer long.

Don’t get me wrong. I still enjoy Essie’s Vanity Fairest that I loved a while back. It provides a natural pink shade to your nails. This; though, is the opaqueness that I could never quite achieve with the other polish. If you look on my nails in these pictures, that’s just two coats of polish, and it leaves you with the girliest, bubbliest, Barbie pink.

This is an “insta-dri” formula which is a MUST for those of us who are ADD always on the go. Bye bye, smudged nails! It’s just the easiest, grab and go, looks great with everything, girly, neutral polish. It looks perfect with every outfit without clashing colors, and even better? It’s only $5.

In case you can’t tell, this is my new favorite. What about y’all? What’s your favorite nail polish look for this summer? Comment below!

      1. I just try to wipe off a majority of the polish so that there is only a small amount on one side of the brush. Then when I apply it to my nails I start in the center on the nail towards the middle instead of the very top. It definitely takes a bit to get used to!

  1. I love the color and I agree that the brush is too big. I made a mess when I tried to use it and I’m a pretty skilled painter. It does dry super fast so it’s great if you’re in a hurry!
